From March 18 to 19, 2013, the 2012 annual meeting of China Medical Device Industry Association was held in Tianjin Binhai New Area. The meeting summarized the main work of China Medical Device Industry Association in 2012 and deployed the key work in 2013. The participants conducted in-depth discussions on the current hot issues in the medical device industry. Sun Lei, Deputy Director of the Medical Device Supervision Department of the State Food and Drug Administration, Inspector Wang Baoting, Vice President of the China Food and Drug Control Institute, Deputy Director Wang Yunhe of the Medical Device Standards Management Center of the State Administration, and Cui Jianxin of the Economic and Youth League Department of the China Federation of Industry and Economics Director, Wang Sheng, Deputy District Mayor of Tianjin Binhai New District, attended the meeting, and Zhao Yixin, President of the Association presided over the meeting. More than 350 business representatives attended the meeting.


In his speech, Director Cui Jianxin spoke highly of the work of the China Medical Device Industry Association in 2012. President Zhao Yixin reviewed the work of the Association in 2012 and deployed the key work of the Association in 2013. Dr. Jiang Feng, vice president of the association and chairman of the National Medical Device Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, made the 2012 annual work report of the alliance.


In the next special meeting on medical device industry supervision, Sun Lei, Deputy Director of the Medical Device Supervision Department of the State Food and Drug Administration, Wang Yunhe, Vice President of the China Food and Drug Control Institute, Deputy Director of the Medical Device Standards Management Center of the State Administration, Director Deng Jie and Director Liu Xiaoyan of the Medical Device Technical Evaluation Center of the State Administration, Director Dong Fang of the Drug Evaluation Center and National Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Center of the State Administration, zhang Keren, Administrative Acceptance Service Center of the State General Administration, respectively introduced the supervision of medical devices in 2012 and the focus of supervision in 2013, medical device standards, technical review, adverse event monitoring and the latest developments in administrative acceptance. Qi Baofen, director of Tianjin Medical Device Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, and Wang Lixin, director of Liaoning Medical Device Inspection Institute, attended the meeting and introduced the medical device testing work of the two places respectively.


On the afternoon of the 19th, a special meeting on the interpretation of relevant policies in the medical and health field was held. Zhu Dezheng, Deputy Director of the Pharmaceutical Division of the Price Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, Zhuang Ning, Director of the Planning and Price Division of the Planning and Finance Department of the Ministry of Health, Wang Fanglin, Director of the Medical Insurance Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and Pang Qingfan, Deputy Director of the Information Department of the China Patent Protection, attended the China Patent Protection, attended and made a report. The participants had a full exchange with the speakers on the issues of concern to the enterprise.


At the same time, the conference also held the China Medical Device Industry Integrity System Construction Forum, the International Medical Device Market and Cooperation Opportunities Forum, and the Binhai New Area Medical Device Industry Development Symposium.
